Maria graduated from Manchester University in 1999. She started her career at Manchester Dental Hospital as a general duties house officer. Following that she took on senior house officer posts in oral and maxillofacial surgery in London hospitals including the Royal London. After the completion of the MFDS examination she started her specialist training in periodontology at Guy’s Hospital. She successfully obtained an MSc and MClinDent in periodontology in addition to the MRD. Maria is a registered specialist in periodontics and works in private specialist practice in addition to teaching at Guy’s Hospital. Maria accepts referrals for non-surgical periodontal treatment, periodontal surgery including regenerative techniques, gingival grafting, root resections, crown lengthening procedures and dental implants.

Specialist in Oral Surery and Prosthodontics

Mark graduated in 1992 from the Kings College Hospital Dental School and trained as an Oral Surgeon in several hospitals during which he obtained a surgically based Fellowship in Dental Surgery (FDS) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England
in 1996. Following this he held both Staff Grade and Registrar positions in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and gained entry onto the General Dental Council Specialist List in Surgical Dentistry. In 2000 Mark undertook specialist training in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute in London during which he obtained a Masters in Clinical Dentistry. In 2004 he obtained the Specialist Diploma of
Membership in Restorative Dentistry (MRD) from the Royal College of Surgeons of England and was awarded the GDC Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training. Mark also holds double specialist recognition on the General Dental Council List.

Mark Bennetts  BDS MSc MRDRCS RCPS DGDP
Specialist in Endodontics

Mark, a Registered Specialist in Endodontics with the GDC, gained a BDS at the University of London and then attained an MSc.  He has also achieved an MRD with the RCS in both England and Glasgow and RCPS and DGDP status.

Having worked at Guys Hospital and The Eastman Hospital, Mark works in Guernsey together with his own Endodontic referral practice in Jersey.  Mark brings a broad range of experience to the Opus Specialist Dental Service

Tony Walshe graduated in 1988 from Otago University, New Zealand. He gained entry into the Royal College of Surgeons (England) in 1995. In 2003, Tony completed his Masters (Advanced Restorative Dentistry) with Distinction at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute. Tony has many years of experience as a practising dentist. His areas of special expertise are implants, cosmetic dentistry, facial aesthetics, crown/bridge work, veneers and teeth whitening.
He is also an internationally published writer in the area of aesthetic dentistry.
